Rates

Rates vary with the job and will be negotiated upon seeing a sample of the material.

Contracts

Before commencing any project both parties must sign a contract agreeing the details of the job, including the estimated duration and the negotiated rate. I will keep a note of the hours spent on the job, and if I foresee that it is going to take substantially longer than the estimated duration you will be informed in good time so that we can decide upon a course of action.

Communication

The best way for freelances to work is by maintaining regular communication with customers and other suppliers. I will provide customers with regular updates on each project, but in return I ask for a clear brief and swift responses to queries.

Resources

All work is PC based, using the Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat). My bookshelves are crammed with a range of dictionaries, style guides, grammar guides and other reference books. I also have access to online reference services, including Encyclopedia Britannica, Oxford Reference Online, and the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography.
